I love this movie. And the book. It's my favourite Austen's work, way better that Pride & Prejudice (which - of course - is also very good). As a matter of fact, I love everything that Jane Austen created...

This is the famous William Shakespeare's sonnet 116 and it's my favourite poem of all time. I know it by heart in english and polish, although I prefer the orginal version.

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

I agree - this is one of my favourite of Shakespeare's sonnets, if not my favourite (I haven't read all of them, so I cannot know). I loved the BBC Sense and Sensibility production - I think it is one of those films that one can watch over and over again, and never get bored. I cannot count the number of times I have watched it; all I can say is that I knew the script and music off by heart at one point! Lovely work

Ah, I was mistaken; it is the 1995 version I have seen (and love and know by heart), and I have not yet seen the BBC version

. Would you recommend the BBC version? It it as wonderful as 1995?
